Helpline and Home Visitations
817-727-0121
Home Visits:

The St Vincent helpline is available 24 hours a day. Neighbors can call the helpline and leave a message. Each message is returned and it is determined through that first contact if St Vincent can be of assistance. The Conference of St Vincent de Paul at Holy Family encompasses the zip codes of 76107, 76116, and 76126. Once it has been determined St Vincent can be of assistance, the hotline volunteer notifies Vincentians to schedule a home visit. Through the home visits of the Vincentians, families in emergency are visited. Many of the families are living pay check to pay check, with unexpected bills and situations pushing families into emergency financial situations. St Vincent de Paul serves those in need regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender or political opinions.
Food Baskets:
Three times a year St Vincent de Paul provides food baskets for neighbors identified through our home visits. Traditionally, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter are the delivery dates for the food baskets. Neighbors are notified in advance to verify their residence, the number of people in the home and the need for a food basket. Food baskets are assembled and delivered with the help of the Holy Family youth and congregation.
Gift Tree:
Families are visited throughout the year by our home visit teams. Teams often note families in need especially during the holiday season.

*Each year St. Vincent de Paul conducts a Gift Tree program to provide gifts to help the children of families have a holy and happy Christmas.

*A Christmas tree is setup at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thanksgiving week end.

*Angels with information about the children to receive a gift are placed on the tree.

*Parishioners take an Angel from the tree, buy a gift, and return it to the church.

*Gifts are delivered to the families the Saturday morning before Christmas with the help of our congregation.
